The Best & Easiest Way To Wear Your Slip Dresses This Winter

We're all bound to have a slip dress or two (or ten), sitting in our wardrobes, reminding us of summer and maybe starting to gather dust. But those dresses don't have sit in wait for warmer days again. All you have to do is grab your chunkiest jumper and a pair of boots.

This Zara jumper that I'm wearing I purchased three years ago and I still wear it religiously. It hasn't lost its quality at all (*touch wood*) and keeps me so warm. I can easily slip it over the top of any outfit and it works. The bow tie features at the wrists give it a little girly touch and add something extra to a simple design. Whilst you can't get this exact jumper still, there's an updated version for this season (first image below!) that comes in three colours and let's just say I want them all, obviously.

Outfit: Jumper - Zara (old, similar here) / Dress - Custom / Shoes - Charles & Keith (similar)/ Earrings - H&M (similar)

I've paired it here with a custom slip dress I got made a little while back that I haven't worn and the tones work perfectly. Ideally I'd like to pair some calf length boots for a pretty touch or black high ankle boots for a grungy edge - which I feel is becoming a popular trend this season.

I've chosen a small selection of chunky knits from Zara because I honestly believe they are the best quality on the high street. And I've found a few pretty slips from Nasty Gal, because they seem to have so many, for you to shop and try if you're all about reviving your summer slip dresses for Autumn Winter.

Would you dare to wear your slips in the colder months this way? Or are you keeping them in your wardrobe for the summer again? As it gets colder, it's probably going to be a little harder, but if you have an extra layer under your slip dress for extra warmth, you might just survive! Let me know what you think.

Lots of Love,

Emily xx
