SS21 Trends: T-Shirt Dress & How To Style It

Outfit: Dress - Custom / Shoes - Charles & Keith (similar) / Bag - Unknown / Earrings - Atypical

Spring is here and that means more sunny days and excuses to wear dresses sans tights on those warmer days. But with our new normal in effect for a year now, it's nice to find a style that says warmer days ahead but also keeping with the loungewear phase.

*Enter The T-Shirt Dress*

I have always loved a T-shirt dress but never actually had one, so when I went fabric shopping here in Sri Lanka, found the most perfect material and got one made, I knew I would be make 100 more and having it as a wardrobe staple.

T-shirt dresses are versatile in that they can be worn from lounging about to casual errands or even dressed up for days or nights out. Maybe not for something super formal, but a dinner with the girls? Why not?!

Here are a few ways I would style a T-shirt dress:

1. Casual Cool:

Pair your T-shirt dress with a pair of your favourite white sneakers and a leather jacket for everyday running around, whether that be to the shops or grabbing a coffee, or even your daily walk. It's effortless and chic.

2. Sunshine Soaking:

All you have to do is get your favourite pair of sandals and big pair of sunnies for a day int he sunshine, whether that be a picnic in the park, heading down to the beach (makes for a easy cover up), or sitting in your garden with a glass of wine.

3. For Those Slightly Chillier Days:

I think a T-shirt dress is the perfect double for an oversized tee, so put your favourite pair of jeans on, put your t-shirt dress over the top and tuck one side in for a slouchy long line look. You can finish it off with a pair of flats or even a minimal heel and statement earrings for extra edge.

4. Dress It Up:

It doesn't take much to dress up a T-shirt dress, as I've done here. With the grey tone I wanted to contrast it with a different colour through accessories, so I grabbed my baby blue kitten heel mules and little embroidered bag for something a little dressier, and finished off with some chainlink earrings. You could even belt the dress, got for a sparkly statement earring, some killer lace up heels and a clutch for a nice dinner or lunch date outfit. Comfort, class and convenience.

  2. It seems that shirts for men are basic, tee shirts and button down shirts. With different collar styles and different colors, men's shirts are actually available in a wide selection. Here is some help in learning what styles are out there so you can get what you want. Vlone Palm Angels T-shirt
