Gold takes the limelight right now when it comes to jewellery. We're all after those big statement gold earrings with embellishments and new edges that will tie an outfit together with little to no effort. Personally, I'm all for the trend - I'm not always one to go with the fast fashion trends, however this is a lasting one.
As an Sri Lankan, gold jewellery has been so incredibly valuable and I've had such since I was born - a little gold chain link bracelet that my Mum still has and a tiny heart ring with an "E" in the middle (which I've found and now wear as a stacker).
For me, I think gold suits me more than silver or white gold - maybe it's the skin tone or maybe it's because of the heritage. So the fact that gold jewellery is everywhere right now is pleasing to me. Since I've been digging out my old gold, I thought I'd share some new pieces that I've added to my wishlist when I was scrolling on ASOS.

These are just a few picks that I love right now and can be easily slipped into your wardrobe. Gold just makes things look richer and I honestly say just go nuts with gold jewellery. Favourite pieces right now - gold embellished hair clips (another hot trend right now, but I love it).
